Design Assistant // Brand Strategist

Seeking a design assistant & brand strategist to support us in the logo design & branding process.

Brandify is a creative agency, working with market-leading brands, impactful entrepreneurs and influencers. We create brands and websites that are not only beautiful, but are infused with personality and built with sales strategy that highly converts. We’re currently going through a rebrand and transitioning everything over from Angelique Vestil to Brandify.

We are seeking a junior designer to join our team for a long-term, remote, freelance opportunity.

The ideal applicant will be able to intuitively grasp client’s goals, bring your own strategic expertise to the table, effectively communicate Brandify’s ethos, and help deliver visually stunning brands, mockups and graphics for every brand we launch.

This position will approximately be 15-20 hours a week, with the opportunity to eventually grow into a full-time role.

THE GIG //

  • Logo and Brand Concept Development: Design and curate creative logo and brand concepts specifically for clients in the health, wellness, self-development, and eco-conscious space

  • Collaborate with Angelique: Work closely with Angelique to seamlessly integrate her design vision into concepts, ensuring a unified approach.

  • Brand Asset Management for Hand off: Assist in organizing all brand assets and packaging them into Dropbox folders for seamless client hand-off. This includes putting all the designed assets into a brand guidelines to showcase how to utilize/maintain their branding.

  • Development of Brand Mockups: Create brand mockups to visually bring concepts to life, allowing clients to see their potential fully realized.

  • Social Media Graphics and Reels: Design engaging social media graphics and create captivating reels for new brand launches that resonate with the target audience.

  • Understanding Branding Elements: Have a deep understanding of typography, colors, white space, balance, hierarchy, and other branding elements that make a brand visually compelling and memorable.

  • Client-Centric Branding: Step into the shoes of our clients and use their intake forms and audience personas to conceptualize and direct the brand’s journey.

  • Collaboration with the Team: Collaborate closely with the design team to bring fresh, innovative ideas that align with client objectives and push the creative envelope.

I’m looking for a creative designer who LOVES all things branding, logo design & graphic design. You must have a passion for the health, wellness, beauty & personal development space as these are the majority of our clientele. You will serve as Angelique’s second creative brain and her right-hand for branding & design projects.

I need someone who’s ready to come up with creative concepts for clients. This includes reviewing onboarding documents and pitching the design direction of a project from a strategic point of view. You must be an excellent communicator, be comfortable having hard (but respectful) conversations when needed, ability to source design inspiration & have creative vision for projects, and package all brand assets into brand guides. You’ll come into my business and support me in the branding process, with the goal to eventually take ownership of the entire branding process (from inception to handoff). I’ll be looking to you to tell me how we should manage the branding side of the business. I’ll be learning from you, and you’ll have the freedom to implement your ideas, best practices, and tailored solutions (with my support).

This role is integral in ensuring the branding process for our agency is streamlined and runs smoothly, so we can provide the excellence our clients and customers deserve. You must align with Angelique’s design style which can be referenced on her Instagram and/or website

You’re not afraid to lead, take initiative, improve existing systems/operations, and get the job done.

I’m looking for someone who wants to stay with me long-term and help me turn this previously one-woman design company into a well-oiled creative design team. If all goes well, eventually we’d love for you to want to take ownership of building brands from scratch and supporting us in the brand development phase from conception to project hand-off!

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience designing at a creative agency or as a creative consultant

  • Bachelor's degree in design, communications or equivalent professional experience

  • An online portfolio demonstrating the range of your design skill

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD).

  • Strong understanding of brand identity and design principles.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with effective time management.

  • Bonus if you have web design, web development or UX/UI experience

Strategy Proficiencies

  • DESIGN & BRANDING: understanding of brand positioning, brand strategy, and visual brand identity deliverables. You must have excellent aesthetic taste, with full awareness of creative processes, design trends, best practices & techniques

  • BUSINESS STRATEGY: must have an understanding of conversion optimization and personal brand strategy. Our clients are typically coaches, so our designers must have an understanding of how to best strategize their web structure, based on their business objectives.

  • Proficient in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, XD)

Schedule

  • Mon-Fri: Slack check-ins every morning and evening, and throughout day to ensure all clients are nurtured

  • Set weekly check ins + team meetings

  • Eventually, this may transition to a full time position
